How could a woman, who has undergone some of the best tests available to determine her mental sanity, be caught in such a crazy position? Mind you, she is a mother of three and is married.
Get this: Nowak raced from Houston to Orlando wearing diapers. She later dressed in a wig and a trench coat, tried to open her rival's car door and asked for a ride.
The victim refused, so Nowak pepper sprayed her, the affidavit said.
She is also being charged with attempted vehicle burglary, destruction of evidence and battery. If convicted of attempted kidnapping, Nowak could face a maximum of life in prison.
There is no doubt that the prosecutor will use the objects found in her posession to frame her actions, as a possible crime of passion. Besides two used diapers, authorities also found latex gloves, a BB gun, and a knife in her posession.
Her defense attorney will probably focus on the possibility that the stress of her profession may have provoked her behavior, and claim she was mentally insane.
The mental insanity plea, will probably win the case. But one question will remain: What could transform a healthy, strong, independent woman into a criminal?
Who knows? For all we know, NASA fed her some crazy pills with unknown side effects.
